monday musings | Teacups are not just for tea.

For a girl who loves her arm candy, (my poison of choice are rings). I want a place to display, and have easy access to them when I’m getting dressed.

While browsing online for jewelry holders and came across Paige Smith. Hailing from Calgary,  Paige "rescues saucers that have been orphaned from their matching tea cup. Merging vintage and new, she transforms them into stands that hold and display rings and other jewelry." I have to say her pieces are perfect for any vanity, and are now sold in Anthropologie.

Having found some inspiration, and being an avid collector of antique teacups, I decided my
assemblage was better of being used as a somewhat DIY project then gathering dust.

I cleared of a shelf, laid out 5 of the teacups , threw in some of my jewelery and now my room has a touch of additional colour, and all my bits and pieces are now beautifully displayed.
On the hunt for antiques in Toronto? I usually leg- it to the St. Lawrence Market; which is now becoming one of my favourite Sunday haunts (combine that with brunch and I'm gold) , and  where I am now getting the majority of my teacups.
The bird is also an antique find, and made entirely from forks and spoons.

Savannah
