Hello 2014.

Bye 2013, and hello 2014. I'm really hoping 2014 goes smoothly, as this year I have alot on my plate.

Firstly lets talk about 2013. I had an amazing/terrible 2013. Though my family life suffered, I had an amazing time with great supportive friends, and fantastic travels. In the beginning of the year I went back to England, where I caught up with my very good middle school buddy, and then headed to Morocco. And this past October I went to Italy, which was life changing - I came back, quit my job (yeah!), and decided to head to school to finally do something that makes me happy. I'll be studying European history, with classes starting in less than 2 weeks, which will take me till mid-August. Fingers, crossed I'll get all 'A's', since if I have any hopes of getting into the M.A program I'm looking into, I need my GPA to be boosted to a 3.00, or higher.
Since I'll be paying for this endevour from my own pocket, my shopping/handbag habit is seriously curbed. But I did pick up 2 goodies for Xmas. To make a long story short, when in England, Mum, and I had popped into Harrods.... and I fell love with a couple of bags by British designer Sophie Hulme. The leather, and silhouettes.... all gorgeous!
Here are the 2 photos I snapped while at Harrods:

Anyways, when I came back to Toronto, I couldn't find her collection anywhere. Then about 3 weeks, ago I got an email from Ssense, located in Montreal, and surprise- surprise, I see they carry Sophie Hulme.
I ordered her classic tote in teal, after debating over that, or mint. Luckily I choose the teal, since the leather is softer. THEN, I ordered the orange wallet, which could double as a clutch. I've used the bag, and boy do I love it!

As Christmas, and the New Year drew closer, Toronto was hit by an ice storm which resulted, in no power for over 3 days. My condo got our on Christmas Eve- luckily.  No hot water, no tv,  the solution? Go see Yeezy in concert. I have to admit I enjoyed it, Megs not so much.

And to cap of the year, and this post. I got my first tattoo! I've been thinking about it for a long, time. And finally decided to get it done 2 weeks ago (at Chronic Ink Tattoo). Its from Lord of The Rings (naturally). It means " Not all those who wander are lost." In the Tengwar script, in the Quenya language ( of the Elves). Yes, I'm a nerd.

xoxo,
Savannah
